Davis Programs provide tools to help overcome problems with reading, writing, math and attention focus. The positive approach of the Davis program emphasizes the gifts of the visual learner and helps them discover where the confusion lies. With this discovery and understanding of the visual learning style, they can be prepared to address the obstacles.
An initial consultation establishes if a Davis program will be beneficial.
A Perceptual Ability Assessment done during this consultation helps to determine how the program will proceed.
The Facilitator works with the client to develop a profile of academic strengths and weaknesses. Based on this Symptoms Profile, the client develops goals for his or her program.
A basic program incorporates Davis Orientation Counseling® and Davis Symbol Mastery®, and typically includes 30 hours of one on one work over a 5-day period. The reading exercises and coordination exercises offer effective learning strategies for the visual learner.
Additional program time may be necessary for math or attention focus issues.
Davis Programs are suitable for individuals age 8 and up.
